• The patient must be informed about the purpose of the Notary visit, understand what the document is for, and agree to sign. Make sure the patient is willing to sign before scheduling, as no refunds will be issued if the patient refuses or is unaware of the appointment.

• The patient must be mentally alert and not under heavy medication. Notaries are legally unable to proceed if the signer is not in sound mind. It’s best to choose a time when the patient is fully aware and capable of signing.

• Review the document beforehand to check if it requires additional witnesses. While I can help find a witness in some cases, it's easier to work with documents that only require a Notary's signature.

If you're unable to meet the Notary at the hospital in person, you can upload a UPS or FedEx shipping label to have the notarized documents sent to you.
